The hunger strike of thousands of Palestinian prisoners could unleash the Third Intifada

When it seemed that Israel was safe and quiet under his iron yoke, fire and blood to all of Palestine, the heroic acts of thousands of prisoners, threatening to destabilize the situation. Happy is the culminating promised the ethnic cleansing of Jerusalem and Hebron, the colonization of the West Bank and the diversion of international attention to Iran and to Syria, where his hand is not at all alien nor innocent.

Over two thousand Palestinian prisoners and a prolonged hunger strike since April (some take longer) in defense of their dignity as people, demanding an end to arbitrary arrests that have been around a million people and the daily violations of the human rights to which they are subjected in the Jewish concentration camps (internment, as euphemistically prefer to call Zionists), sometimes imprisoned for years without trial. And all this at the infamy of the Security Council of the UN, as diligent as sclerotic sometimes and others, according c0nvenga. The UN Special Rapporteur for the Occupied Palestinian Territories, Richard Falk, said a few days ago he was "appalled" by the human rights violations committed systematically in Israeli jails. His actual words were:

"I am appalled by the continuing violations of human rights in Israeli prisons and appealed to the Government of Israel to respect its international human rights obligations in respect of all Palestinian prisoners"

The UN secretary general, Ban Ki-Moon, his mouth small and with little media coverage, will not disturb their employers from the U.S. and Israel, has called on the parties to the settlement of the situation and the cessation of administrative arrests and that the Palestinians in that state of limbo are charged and brought to fair trial or released.

Although most prisoners are on strike since April 17, there are some who take more than 75 days without food and are on the verge of death. It is zaer Halahleh and Bilal Diab, who have already beaten the sad record of the 10 Irish Catholic activists who were left to die by the Thatcher government in the Maze prison. Zaer, as indicated by the prison doctor, die at any time if you do not eat, your heart beats fast, your muscles have contracted, have high blood pressure, fever, vomiting blood, suffering an infection in part of his body, bleeding through the gums and lips and has lost 30 kilos since I stopped eating. In addition, many other prisoners have toughened their strike and threatened to stop eating even water, which can worsen your situation so drastically in the coming hours. 4 others are in similar conditions and feared for his life.

Any resemblance to the activation of the political machine and media and international propaganda when, for example, the hunger strike of Cuban prisoners serving USA is purely coincidental. However, while seeking to ignore or hide what happens, this strategy of Gandhian nonviolent struggle against Israel threatens to destabilize the fragile balance in the area based on the violent repression and buying intentions of the Palestinian Authority. If prisoners begin to die activist, is likely to overflow the rage for many years. Years of concessions to Israel for not achieving anything, waiting containment of political negotiations without having any visible output to the occupation and colonization, murders, kidnappings, torture, starvation and malnutrition, bombing of civilians , of resignation to resistance and self-defense against aggression and continuing violations of human rights. Palestine can be a pressure cooker about to explode.

Jihad has threatened to break the cease-fire if an inmate dies. Hamas says the situation is on the streets overflow and the Third Intifada is expected despite the Palestinian Authority . Israel must measure its steps very well if it is to continue to maintain the status quo indefinitely until it fills all that interested in Palestine before defining its borders, if it ever does. The Palestinians know they have been abandoned by most of the Arab countries, which have coordinated their political agendas with the U.S. and Israel and that practically only rely on themselves. It is likely that, with this strategy, achieve some positive results on the human rights front, but anything is possible to happen in the coming days.

The Palestinians, today, have a serious leadership problem.
They are made decanting Qatari side (HH.MM, pressure and money, that will not be the solution, leaving Hezbollah, Syria and Iran.

They have chosen and the decision is yours. But Are getting somewhere better?

  2. Mikel is true, are abandoning their allies always to fall into the arms of the Gulf traitors, they will screw up but well ...

  3. Hamas spokesman Sami Abu Zuhri, considered the statements of the head of Preventive Security apparatus in the RO, Ziad Hab al-Rih, in which "emphasized that the role of the security services of the Palestinian Authority, in cooperation with the occupying power to prevent a third intifada (uprising) against the occupation, is conclusive evidence of the alliance between Abbas's security apparatus and the Zionist occupation. " Abu Zuhri, in a document revealed that "statements of Hab al-Rih, to ensure safety and security to Israeli occupation through repression to control the Palestinian resistance, is unsustainable and causes tension in the Palestinian street and excludes any attempt to achieve Palestinian reconciliation and unity because of their absolute loyalty to the occupying force. " Finally, demanded the head of the PNA, Mahmoud Abbas, to "assume its responsibilities to these statements that internal security collapse and stop the arrests of Hamas supporters in the RO (see 25/5)". Amazing: The head of the Preventive Security Apparatus of the ANP, Ziad Hab al-Rih had said last Thursday that "The ANP will do everything possible to prevent the launch of a third Palestinian Intifada in the coming months", against the occupation. Several of the Palestinian popular uprising (Intifada), suffocated by the occupying power in cooperation with the PNA services were those of Earth Day (30/3) Prisoner's Day (17/4) and demonstrations in solidarity with the hunger strike of Palestinian prisoners in prisons and Israeli concentration camp.

As you know, Saleema, Gaza has two land borders, One with Israel, and One with Egypt so the Israeli blokcade on Gaza Would have never been possible at all without the Egyptian cooperation. (Last year the Cooperation between Egypt and Israel was Explicitly Described in the press When Viva Palestina Egypt insisted â € That œshould coordinate With The Israeli government, and the Egyptian government blocked the international activists and foreigners not only from going to Gaza or delivering the much needed humanitarian aid, but from getting anywhere near the Egypt-Gaza border.) Egyptian cooperation with Israel is paid for every year with 2 billion U.S. dollars of aid conditional on Such cooperation, the second highest annual dole direct financial aid after the U.S. unconditional 3 billion direct aid to Israel (Given upfront in cash while the Uncle Sam pays the interest for the loan to China). Those two chunks of aid are a very significant share of total U.S. annual foreign aid. Yet Nettie finds it easy to push Uncle Sam around. He knows the score Because I lived in the USA: Unconditonal aid to a foreign state, Israel, is the first priority for success in U.S. domestic politics. Most practical In this sense, it's understandable why fringe web sites in the USA call it ZOG, que sounds and looks like the name of an arch villain in the old Superman comic books.

  5. Palestinian Prisoners threaten Israel with a new hunger strike

"There are still provocations in prisons (Israeli), and the prisoners threaten to restart his hunger strike if the situation does not change," said Minister of Prisoners, Issa Qaraqaa, in a press conference in Ramallah (West Bank).

On May 14, some 1,550 Palestinians detained in Israel ended a hunger strike in exchange for a package that included the suspension of unlimited detention without trial and the carceral isolation and authorization visits for prisoners originating from Gaza .

In return, the representatives of the prisoners committed to refrain from militant activity in prisons and all new hunger strike.

But Qaraqaa Minister said that Israel had fulfilled its commitment.

"Israel began violating the agreement signed with the prisoners and ten days after the announcement of the end of the strike had renewed the administrative detention orders for about thirty prisoners," the minister said.

Administrative detention a controversial provision inherited from the British Mandate in Palestine and that applied in the Latin American dictatorships of the 1970s and 1980s, allows the imprisonment without charge or trial for periods identified but renewed indefinitely.

A senior Israeli Defense requested anonymity told AFP on Sunday that "since last week three administrative detention orders have been renewed."

The same source said that Israel acted for families to visit detainees in Gaza, noting that it is a process that "will take time" because "involves several different agencies."
