Ministra de Justicia<br \/>\n<strong>Asunto: Detenci?n de un ciudadano belga en las c?rceles italianas por delitos de opini?n<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Se?ora<\/p>\n<p>Desde el pasado 21 de noviembre, Bahar Kimyong?r, de nacionalidad belga, se encuentra detenido en B?rgamo, por petici?n de Turqu?a, que pide la extradici?n.?La audiencia se celebr? hace unos d?as ante el Tribunal de Apelaci?n de Brescia, pero ha quedado aplazada sine die.<\/p>\n<p>Siento que es mi deber como ciudadana\/o presentar algunos elementos que son importantes para la comprensi?n del caso.<\/p>\n<p>En primer lugar, usted debe saber que desde hace m?s de diez a?os Bahar Kimyong?r viene sufriendo una aut?ntica persecuci?n por parte del Estado turco acus?ndolo sin pruebas de ser un \u00abterrorista\u00bb. Esta persecuci?n ha tenido lugar principalmente en B?lgica. Sin embargo, despu?s de cuatro procesos y dos procedimientos de casaci?n, Bahar Kimyong?r fue plenamente absuelto por el Tribunal de Apelaci?n de Bruselas.<\/p>\n<p>Turqu?a tambi?n ha ejercido presi?n sobre los Pa?ses Bajos, pero en 2006 la C?mara de la extradici?n de La Haya neg? la extradici?n. Sobre la base de la misma orden de arresto internacional emitida por Turqu?a, el Sr. Kimyong?r fue luego arrestado en Espa?a, el 17 de junio. En este caso, el sistema de la justicia espa?ola ha liberado a este ciudadano belga muy r?pidamente, incluso con el procedimiento a?n en curso.<\/p>\n<p>Y ahora es el turno de su pa?s de ser el teatro de la persecuci?n que Bahar Kimyong?r sufre por parte de Ankara. Y es esencial no solo la presunci?n de inocencia sino que Bahar Kimyong?r ha sido declarado inocente por los jueces belgas y holandeses, que han subrayado que no ha cometido ning?n acto delictivo.?El gobierno turco no soporta la cr?tica y persigue a sus opositores pol?ticos, como es el caso de este ciudadano belga que se opone, con sus escritos a la pol?tica de Ankara, con denuncias valientes de violaci?nes de derechos humanos y de casos de tortura en las c?rceles turcas.<\/p>\n<p>Se?ora, en este momento Bahar Kimyong?r, ciudadano belga, es un preso pol?tico en Italia por sus opiniones pol?ticas. Es una situaci?n intolerable.
