La invasi?n no es de la magnitud que se preve?a en un principio, pero imagino que es lo m?ximo que ha permitido Estados Unidos sin disgustar demasiado a sus mejores aliados iraqu?es. Es bastante probable incluso que el ej?rcito turco cuente con informaci?n de inteligencia proporcionada por sat?lites esp?a norteamericanos sobre el lugar donde se encuentran las bases, arsenales y refugios del PKK. La artiller?a y la aviaci?n otomana est?n haciendo el resto apoyadas desde tierra por incursiones limitadas de infanter?a. En los ?ltimos diez d?as han atacado al menos tres veces, anunciando alrededor de 200 bajas en el lado kurdo m?s todas las que han podido perecer en en interior de b?nkeres y cuevas. A pesar de la insistencia en calificar a las operaciones como selectivas, tanto el gobierno iraqu? como el gobierno aut?nomo del kurdist?n han denunciado la existencia de numerosas bajas civiles.
