Es en base a a su apoyo al ej\u00e9rcito israel\u00ed, a su incitaci\u00f3n al odio contra el pueblo palestino y a su defensa del ataque contra la Flotilla de la Libertad, en el que el ej\u00e9rcito israel\u00ed mat\u00f3 a 10 activistas por la paz y sustrajo material humanitario destinado a la asediada Franja de Gaza, que muchas organizaciones y artistas que participan en el Festival han solicitado que el cantante se pronunciara a favor del derecho internacional en Palestina.<\/p>\n<p>No deja de sorprender que El Pa\u00eds nuevamente se haya apresurado a hacerse eco de las difamaciones del Consejo Mundial Jud\u00edo sin contactar con los organizadores de la campa\u00f1a, y que en pleno mes de agosto, un Ministro salga a cuestionar la cancelaci\u00f3n de un concierto en un festival internacional de reggae y no lo haga para denunciar las continuas violaciones de derechos humanos que el ej\u00e9rcito israel\u00ed comete en Palestina.<\/p>\n<p>Somos muchas las organizaciones, colectivos y artistas que hemos participado en las sucesivas ediciones del Festival, quienes consideramos que la participaci\u00f3n de Matisyahu no tiene cabida en un festival dedicado a la promoci\u00f3n de la paz, los derechos humanos y el derecho de autodeterminaci\u00f3n de los pueblos. La libertad de expresi\u00f3n no puede amparar la defensa de cr\u00edmenes de guerras y violaciones del derecho internacional.<\/p>\n<p>Por todo ello, recibimos con satisfacci\u00f3n el anuncio de la cancelaci\u00f3n de la actuaci\u00f3n del cantante sionista y pedimos nuevamente al Festival a que siga adelante con su ideario impidiendo la presencia de Matiyashu en el Sunsplahs 2015.
