Por 179 votos a favor, 1 abstenci\u00f3n y los votos negativos de los Estados Unidos, Israel, las islas Marshall y Palau, la Asamblea General de Naciones Unidas se ha manifestado contra un embargo que ha producido p\u00e9rdidas en la econom\u00eda isle\u00f1a por m\u00e1s de 79 mil millones de d\u00f3lares, demasiado para una poblaci\u00f3n tan exigua y con recursos tan limitados.<\/p>\n<p>La colaboraci\u00f3n del bloque sovi\u00e9tico mitig\u00f3 las consecuencias del embargo, consiguiendo unos \u00edndices de calidad de vida \u2014UNESCO\u2014 s\u00f3lo superados por Canad\u00e1 en todo el continente americano. Eso es lo que verdaderamente parecen temer las sucesivas administraciones yankees, que exista en latinoam\u00e9rica un espejo en el que puedan mirarse otros pa\u00edses.
