Sin embargo, hoy, tras el inicio de las votaciones todos los candidatos que se enfrentaban al presidente petrolero han decidido llamar a la abstenci\u00f3n por considerarlas un fraude. Era obvio que ninguno de ellos ten\u00eda nada que hacer frente al candidato designado por la potencia ocupante, pero lo que llama la atenci\u00f3n es que los medios de comunicaci\u00f3n le conceden todas las garant\u00edas democr\u00e1ticas y tratan de quedarse con el hecho de que los afganos y las afganas pueden votar. Se quedan con el ritual cuasi religioso, puramente formal, frente a la vacuidad de un juego que se practica con las cartas marcadas.<\/p>\n<p>A muchos se les llena la boca, perd\u00f3n las rotativas, criticando procesos electorales en Venezuela, Cuba\u2026 e incluso en el Estado Espa\u00f1ol, desacreditando sistemas de gobierno globales o procesos electorales concretos \u2014como en el caso de nuestras \u00faltimas elecciones generales\u2014, pero con Afganist\u00e1n, los medios que he consultado apenas si se plantean la posibilidad de cuestionar la legitimidad de un resultado conocido de antemano por todos y condenado en pleno por toda la oposici\u00f3n.<\/p>\n<p>Carezco de la informaci\u00f3n suficiente para saber si las denuncias opositoras tienen suficiente fundamento, pero al menos la pose del 100% de la oposici\u00f3n (15 de los 18 candidatos, pero dos de ellos optaron por pedir el voto a Kharzai) merece ser tenida en consideraci\u00f3n. Problemas con el censo, presiones gubernamentales para desviar el voto, amenazas de muerte si no se vota por el presidente interino, falsificaci\u00f3n de m\u00e1s de tres millones de tarjetas, organizaci\u00f3n de los comicios por los propios delegados de los candidatos\u2026 son parte del c\u00famulo de irregularidades denunciadas. Teniendo en cuenta de que la polic\u00eda y los invasores se encuentran s\u00f3lo en las ciudades y que la inmensa mayor\u00eda de la poblaci\u00f3n (3\/4 partes) viven en medios rurales a expensas de los l\u00edderes tribales y se\u00f1ores de la guerra, habremos de considerar lo sucedido hoy mismo como un simple rito dirigido m\u00e1s a los occidentales que el ejercicio de la capacidad de un pueblo para dirigir sus designios.<\/p>\n<p>Pero los medios principales \u2014curiosamente salvo Euronews\u2014 apenas si se hacen eco de la pura an\u00e9cdota: que la tinta indeleble se borraba con facilidad y permit\u00eda votar en m\u00e1s de una ocasi\u00f3n a quien lo deseara.
