Tras el duro golpe sufrido por el ataque insurgente a los almacenes log?sticos en Peshawar y la voladura de un puente en el paso de Khyber de las que <a href=\"http:\/\/www.bitsrojiverdes.org\/wordpress\/?p=2257\">dimos buena cuenta en los biTs<\/a>, se ha consumado un nuevo e importante mazazo a los intereses del imperio: <a href=\"http:\/\/www.eluniversal.com.mx\/notas\/578326.html\">el cierre de la base a?rea de Man?s<\/a>, una instalaci?n vital para las operaciones militares en la zona, que usaba libremente desde 2001. En 180 d?as las tropas de EEUU y las de 11 pa?ses m?s, entre las que hay alg?n peque?o contingente espa?ol, deber?n dejar completamente la instalaci?n.?<\/p>\n<p>La jugada de Rusia ha sido magistral. Para empezar, se ha desecho de una base enemiga cercana a sus fronteras con lo que alivia la presi?n militar que EEUU y la OTAN estaban ejerciendo especialmente desde la ca?da del muro de Berl?n. Pero tambi?n <a href=\"http:\/\/www.adn.es\/politica\/20090220\/NWS-1359-Kirguizistan-Soldados-Kant-reparan-aerea.html\">se ha ganado un nuevo aliado<\/a> y, sobre todo, complica sobremanera las futuras operaciones militares norteamericanas en un momento en que acaban de reforzar con 3.000 nuevos efectivos y se espera que alrededor de mayo se env?en hasta 17.000 soldados m?s cumpliendo una promesa electoral de Obama. A partir de ahora, las tareas de avituallamiento ser?n mucho m?s dependientes de los intereses de Mosc?, que recupera protagonismo en la soluci?n final del agitado avispero afgano.?<\/p>\n<p>El parlamento de Kirguist?n ha aprobado la decisi?n con un solo voto en contra. Las relaciones entre ambos pa?ses se han ido deteriorando progresivamente; el desencadenante final de la ruptura ha sido la pretensi?n kirgu?s de rentabilizar econ?micamente la cesi?n de soberan?a que supone el establecimiento de una instalaci?n extranjera sobre territorio propio y las continuadas negativas de EEUU a incrementar el presupuesto destinado a ello. Tambi?n debe tener algo que ver el cr?dito de 2.000 millones otorgado por Rusia, adem?s de otras ayudas y la condonaci?n de buena parte de la deuda que Kirguizist?n ten?a contra?da con el pa?s vecino.<\/p>\n<p>Las interferencias rusa han sido denunciadas por Robert Gates, el secretario de defensa de EEUU, visiblemente molesto por la complicada situaci?n que enfrenta, sobre todo despu?s de haber tenido que <a href=\"http:\/\/www.elpais.com\/articulo\/internacional\/Uzbekistan\/Rusia\/sellan\/alianza\/militar\/elpepiint\/20051115elpepiint_6\/Tes\">abandonar a finales de 2005 la base uzbeka de?Karshi-Janabad, tambi?n por influencias de Rusia<\/a> (y de China).
