Dice que la administraci\u00f3n de Obama est\u00e1 seriamente decidida por la soluci\u00f3n de dos Estados, y que est\u00e1 \u201caclarando su garganta\u201d para dirigirse al Gobierno de Netanyahu.&nbsp;En particular, los Estados Unidos han informado haber dicho a Israel que \u201ccualquier tratamiento del problema nuclear iran\u00ed depende del progreso en las negociaciones y una retirada israel\u00ed del territorio de la Banda Occidental\u201d.&nbsp;Se dice que el Gobierno de Netanyahu \u201cha decidido mostrar un frente unido respecto a que la v\u00eda para alcanzar una soluci\u00f3n ser\u00eda la hoja de ruta, aclarando que la flexibilidad israel\u00ed en la cuesti\u00f3n palestina depende del enfoque estadounidense sobre la manera de resolver la amenaza iran\u00ed, as\u00ed como su actitud hacia Hamas y Hezbol\u00e1.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">La noticia dice:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><p>ALTOS FUNCIONARIOS DE LA ADMINISTRACI\u00d3N&nbsp;USA SON PLENAMENTE CONSCIENTES DE LA VINCULACI\u00d3N QUE EL PRIMER MINISTRO NETANYAHU Y EL MINISTRO DE DEFENSA BARAK HAN ESTABLECIDO ENTRE LA VOLUNTAD ISRAEL\u00cd DE HACER AVANCES EN LA CUESTI\u00d3N PALESTINA Y SUS EXPECTATIVAS DE QUE LOS ESTADOS UNIDOS HAGAN FRENTE A LA AMENAZA IRAN\u00cd, Y ALTOS FUNCIONARIOS DE ESTADOS UNIDOS HAN COMENZADO A HABLAR DE BUSHEHR A CAMBIO DE YITZHAR.&nbsp;ES DECIR: SI DESEAN QUE NOSOTROS LES AYUDEMOS A MITIGAR LA AMENAZA IRAN\u00cd, INCLUYENDO LA CUESTI\u00d3N DEL REACTOR NUCLEAR EN BUSHEHR, PREP\u00c1RESE PARA EVACUAR LOS ASENTAMIENTOS EN LA FRANJA OCCIDENTAL, CON YITZHAR (UN ASENTAMIENTO EN LA FRANJA OCCIDENTAL) INCLUIDO, CONSIDERANDO QUE RETIRARSE DE YITZHAR SER\u00cdA EL S\u00cdMBOLO DE LA RETIRADA ISRAEL\u00cd DEL TERRITORIO DE LA FRANJA OCCIDENTAL. \u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Este informe ha sido colgado por un buen n\u00famero de bloggers\u2014incluido M.J. Rosenberg del Foro de Pol\u00edtica de Israel (Israel Policy Forum) y Matt Yglesias del Centro para el progreso americano (Center for American Progress) como un signo alentador de que la administraci\u00f3n de Obama pretende lograr una soluci\u00f3n de dos Estados durante el primer mandato del Obama, como el Presidente indic\u00f3 que har\u00eda durante su campa\u00f1a electoral.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Suponiendo que el informe sea cierto, es una noticia alentadora, pues sugiere que la administraci\u00f3n de Obama no va a arrastrarse ante Israel y que Estados Unidos usar\u00e1 su influencia en ambos lados para avanzar hacia una soluci\u00f3n de dos Estados.&nbsp;Pero vincular esto tan en\u00e9rgicamente a la cuesti\u00f3n iran\u00ed me parece un error, porque podr\u00eda dar a Teher\u00e1n un veto de facto sobre el proceso de paz.&nbsp;Si el comportamiento israel\u00ed se vincula directamente a la soluci\u00f3n de programa nuclear de Ir\u00e1n en t\u00e9rminos aceptables para Israel, y si Ir\u00e1n decide frenarlo, entonces el Gobierno de Netanyahu tendr\u00e1 una excusa para cavarse su propia tumba. Ir\u00f3nicamente, ese resultado no crear\u00eda problemas al Gobierno iran\u00ed, que explota las debilidades del conflicto israelo-palestino para mejorar su propia influencia, para ejercer m\u00e1s presi\u00f3n sobre los Estados Unidos y para que los reg\u00edmenes \u00e1rabes como Arabia Saudita queden fuera de juego, destacando su incapacidad para hacer algo tangible para ayudar a los palestinos.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">El punto clave a entender es que una soluci\u00f3n de dos Estados ser\u00eda buena para los Estados Unidos e Israel cualquiera que sea el estado de las relaciones Ir\u00e1n-Estados Unidos o del programa nuclear del Estado de Ir\u00e1n.&nbsp;El control israel\u00ed de la Franja Occidental no supone una defensa contra los misiles de Ir\u00e1n y la paz entre Israel y los palestinos podr\u00eda eliminar uno de los puntos de influencia de Ir\u00e1n y hacer m\u00e1s f\u00e1cil que los Estados Unidos, Israel y el mundo \u00e1rabe unan sus fuerzas contra Ir\u00e1n y cambiar as\u00ed el amenazante equilibrio de poder en el Golfo.&nbsp;Las cuestiones est\u00e1n conectadas en t\u00e9rminos estrat\u00e9gicos, pero vincularlas de la forma sugerida por el art\u00edculo podr\u00eda hacer m\u00e1s dif\u00edcil los progresos de cualquiera de ellas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Stephen M.
