Recuerdo que hace a?os un dirigente socialista me coment? que el caso GAL fue destapado por la brunete medi?tica<\/i> de la derecha cuando estaba a punto de fructificar en Argel primero un acuerdo de alto el fuego y la posterior disoluci?n de ETA. Filtraciones interesadas y una verdadera campa?a de acoso y derribo acabaron con las conversaciones y, a la postre, con el ?ltimo gobierno socialista de Gonz?lez. ETA le puso la guinda a todo esto con el intento de asesinato de Aznar que fue lo que le encumbr? definitivamente a la presidencia. No puedo asegurar la veracidad de la historia, pero parece que el hecho es recurrente.<\/p>\n
Ahora nos encontramos en un momento parecido. El movimiento abertxale ha salido fortalecido de la ?ltima contienda electoral, sin embargo ha dado m?s que se?ales de que quiere un di?logo sin exlusiones para poner fin al conflicto, ETA se encuentra debilitada, los presos necesitan ver alguna posibilidad de salida, el PNV est? posicionado sin ambajes, la Constituci?n esta en proceso de reforma… ahora o nunca. Y parece que algo se est? cociendo entre bambalinas. ?Puede que estemos ante el fin de ETA?<\/p>\n
Pero tambi?n parecida es la reacci?n de la derecha. Hoy me he molestado ?nunca mejor dicho? en o?r un rato la radio del Apocalipsis y no he podido dar cr?dito a lo que he escuchado. Dec?an poco menos que no quer?an la paz porque era \u00abdecretada por los terroristas\u00bb. ?Qu? piensan? La violencia tendr? que decretarla el violento. La paz tendr?n que firmarla los enemigos, lo contrario significar?a que han acabado con la vida de todos los terroristas y con la de un importante porcentaje de la sociedad vasca que les apoya. ?Es eso lo que quieren? Probablemente, aunque no se atrevan a manifestarlo abiertamente.<\/p>\n
Tambi?n hablaban del \u00abprecio que los espa?oles tendremos que pagar\u00bb por alcanzarla: una modificaci?n inaceptable de la Constituci?n y de los estatutos catal?n y vasco. Con este chantaje de por medio ?afirman? nadie pondr? en duda las reformas, s?lo ellos, \u00ablos de siempre\u00bb como se autodenominaban en una mezcla de pena autocomplaciente.<\/p>\n
Lo que no soportan es que ellos, en los ocho a?os que estuvieron en el gobierno, a pesar de las conversaciones secretas que s? que mantuvieron, no pudieron o no quisieron acabar con ETA, ya que pr?cticamente viv?an de los r?ditos que le proporcionaba su relaci?n de amor odio con la banda.
