Para evitar cualquier contacto con el exterior, los militares impiden el acceso a los campamentos a miembros de?Cruz Roja y otras ONG?que tratan, sin ?xito, de ?distribuir ayuda humanitaria mientras los civiles mueren por causa de las epidemias que han comenzado a extenderse entre la maltrecha y malnutrida poblaci?n.<\/p>\n<p>Con la excusa de detener a los guerrilleros que presumiblemente hayan logrado infiltrarse entre los refugiados, el gobierno ceiland?s ha anunciado que los va a mantener presos por un periodo de hasta dos a?os, fecha en la que ser?n realojados sin ninguna garant?a de que puedan volver a sus casas o a lo que quede de ellas.<\/p>\n<p>Por si fuera poco, a este panorama se le une la dif?cil situaci?n en la que viven y han vivido los tamiles bajo el yugo de la mayor?a cingalesa. Con leyes discriminatorias que les hacen imposible la vida en Sri Lanka, es probable que no tarden mucho en resurgir movimientos de liberaci?n armados que pidan la independencia de la zona noroeste del pa?s, donde los tamiles son mayor?a.
