Se dice que si solamente decidiera cambiar sus d\u00f3lares de reserva a euros \u2014moneda m\u00e1s fuerte a pesar de los pesares\u2014 se producir\u00eda una hecatombe econ\u00f3mica de proporciones imprevisibles, ya que el d\u00f3lar es una moneda cuasi ficticia, cuya mayor fortaleza es que las transacciones econ\u00f3micas petroleras se realizan con billetes verdes, lo mismo que las reservas de los bancos centrales de muchas naciones.<\/p>\n<p>Hace tiempo posteaba en este blog una <a href=\"http:\/\/www.nodo50.org\/bitsrojiverdes\/wordpress\/index.php?s=unocal&amp;submit=Buscar\">noticia<\/a> que adelantaba lo que hoy ha saltado a las rotativas como un hecho consumado: la empresa estatal petrolera CNOOC ha lanzado una OPA sobre UNOCAL justo cuando se estaba llegando a un acuerdo con Texaco para formalizar la compra. <a href=\"http:\/\/www.elpais.es\/articulo.html?d_date=&amp;xref=20050623elpepueco_1&amp;type=Tes&amp;anchor=elpporeco\">CNOOC ha ofertado <\/a>15.300 millones de euros, bastante m\u00e1s que lo que ofrec\u00eda la empresa norteamericana, pero determinados pol\u00edticos conservadores est\u00e1n advirtiendo de la supuesta peligrosidad de la adquisici\u00f3n y piden medidas proteccionistas contrarias a la libertad de mercado que tanto dicen defender a nivel te\u00f3rico como sacrosanta religi\u00f3n.<\/p>\n<p>Para aquellos y aquellas que no picaron en el enlace inicial, recordar\u00e9 que Hamid Kharzai y algunos miembros de su gobierno eran (?\u00bf) empleados de UNOCAL. El primer gran acuerdo econ\u00f3mico que el presidente afgano firm\u00f3 fue la adjudicaci\u00f3n a esta empresa uno de los oleoductos que evacuar\u00eda las riquezas de combustibles f\u00f3siles de Asia Central (Turkmenistan-Afganist\u00e1n-Pakist\u00e1n), aislando de la posibilidad de acceder a ellas de Rusia o China, que obviamente tambi\u00e9n pujaban por ellas. UNOCAL formaba tambi\u00e9n parte del consorcio que construy\u00f3 el reci\u00e9n inaugurado oleoducto del Caspio que atraviesa Azerbaiy\u00e1n, Georgia y Turqu\u00eda (Bak\u00fa-Tbilisi-Ceyhan), construido para obviar las conexiones rusas e iran\u00edes que estaban en funcionamiento, mucho m\u00e1s baratas, pero en manos de pa\u00edses considerados enemigos.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Resulta divertido ver c\u00f3mo China, el pa\u00eds con m\u00e1s ahorro del mundo, juega con Estados Unidos, el pa\u00eds m\u00e1s endeudado del planeta.
