Hace varios d?as que no posteaba nada por los Bits, la verdad es que un descansito no viene nada mal. Pero no he estado ocioso del todo, el poco tiempo que ten?a para dedicar al ordenata lo he estado literalmente gastando con la versi?n de Google Earth para Macintosh<\/a>, una beta bastante operativa que circula por la red sin permiso de Google<\/i>. Los que hayan seguido los Bits desde hace alg?n tiempo habr?n visto c?mo el tema de los Sistemas de Informaci?n Geogr?fica<\/a> han sido una de mis aficiones-preocupaciones en la plataforma mackera, as? que no pod?a dejar pasar la oportunidad de destripar la beta, analizar sus posibilidades y hacer algo in?til con ella.<\/p>\n

Puesto manos a la obra, coloqu? a una de mis p?ginas de fotos, concretamente la de im?genes de viajes que es la que m?s se prestaba a ello, una marca en el lugar en donde fueron tomadas. Posteriormente, analizando algunos enlaces de Google, v? que usaban html puro para la descripci?n del sitio o placemark, as? que col? directamente un enlace a la imagen en cuesti?n. Luego, inspirado por las capas de National Geografic y azuzado por un colega, abr? en el cuadro de di?logo que se abre al pulsar el enlace una preview de cada foto y una descripci?n m?s extensa de ellas. Finalmente mont? en mi peque?o portal personal<\/a> un p?gina de downloads para compartirlo<\/a>. <\/p>\n

La verdad es que si acaban jodi?ndolo por temas pol?ticos o militares ser? una pena, la herramienta promete un barbaridad, ya no s?lo para asuntos de ocio. Como plataforma educativa de Geograf?a o incluso de Historia no tiene l?mites. Igualmente tampoco tiene parang?n como planificadora de viajes, sobre todo contando con la ayuda de la comunidad que se ha creado alrededor de la aplicaci?n y de las miles de p?ginas que comparten placemarks de lugares de inter?s, curiosidades o descubrimientos varios ??os acord?is del s?mbolo de la paz<\/a> de la base militar norteamericana de Rota?<\/p>\n

Sobre la beta, algunas consideraciones:<\/p>\n

– Necesita Tiger<\/p>\n

– Se arrastra en mi venerable torre G4 a 733, el rat?n da saltos y si hay otras aplicaciones abiertas es mejor dejarlo<\/p>\n

– Va bastante bien en mi port?til G4 a 1,5 MHz y un GB de DDR<\/p>\n

– No puede cambiar el icono de los Placemarks ni visualizar otro que no sea el de la cl?sica chincheta alargada<\/p>\n

– No visualiza el contenido de las fotos en las ventanas de di?logo de los placemarks<\/p>\n

– La interface es horrible y similar a la de windows<\/p>\n

S?lo cabe esperar a que la refinen y la saquen al mercado con sus correspondientes versiones de pago que habr? que analizar en su momento. De igual manera deber?n seguir mejorando la calidad de las fotograf?as, ya que en alta resoluci?n se dispone a?n de poco territorio. Esperemos tambi?n que las presiones de Israel, que ha conseguido casi cargarse el invento<\/a> en su pa?s, no se repitan en Tailandia, India<\/a> o en ning?n otro lugar m?s del planeta.<\/p>\n
