El espect?culo que pudimos ver ayer en directo por algunas televisiones como Al Jazeera fue dantesco. No se me borra la imagen de un joven con un tiro en la cara ni los atropellos de los blindados a los manifestantes. Pero la desfachatez de Mubarak tampoco ser? dif?cil de olvidar. Dijo ?sin ruborizarse? que si hab?a manifestaciones en el pa?s era porque hab?a libertad, aunque se le olvid? mencionar el apag?n telef?nico y de internet para tratar de evitarlas. Dijo que hab?a iniciado un programa imparable de reformas para ayudar a los mas pobres, aunque no dijo por qu? ahora o por qu? ha tardado 30 a?os en iniciarlo. Anunci? que cesar?a hoy a todo su gobierno pero nada dijo de abandonar el poder, que es lo que le pide la ciudadan?a, un aut?ntico cambio de r?gimen, no de unas pocas caras.<\/p>\n
El gobierno de EEUU est? visiblemente nervioso, no quiere desairar a su aliado estrat?gico, pero tampoco puede apoyarlo sin fisuras p?blicamente porque el pueblo si llega a triunfar totalmente se le podr?a volver contra ?l por mucho tiempo. Lo de Israel es m?s fuerte, un Egipto independiente podr?a hacer in?til el bloqueo a Gaza y con Hezbollah en el poder (de facto) en L?bano ser?a demasiado, sobre todo si los Hermanos Musulmanes llegan al poder en unas elecciones libres.<\/p>\n
Precisamente ese es el ?nico anuncio que cabr?a esperar de Mubarak, su renuncia y la convocatoria de elecciones democr?ticas inmediatas, no el parip? ama?ado que lo proclam? como ?nico poder en el pa?s. Aferrarse en el poder masacrando a su poblaci?n, como pide Israel, s?lo va a retrasar levemente su retirada y provocar m?s ira entre la ciudadan?a. Los m?s de 100 muertos y los millares de heridos van a ser una losa para el tirano que le impedir?n cualquier salida medio digna, m?s le valdr?a tomar el mismo rumbo que Ben Al? mientras le quede alg?n sitio donde huir en la regi?n.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
