Seg\u00fan ha publicado el diario pakistan\u00ed\u00a0The Nation<\/a>, al menos 1.500 combatientes afganos han sido contratados por la Agencia Central de Inteligencia de Estados Unidos para luchar contra las tropas de Gadafi, dada la imposibilidad de los \u00abrebeldes\u00bb de conseguir por s\u00ed mismos avances en la guerra dado su escaso n\u00famero, representatividad y preparaci\u00f3n militar. Los mercenarios provienen de la regi\u00f3n de Mazar-i-Sharif, muy conocida por las masacres perpetradas por los EEUU y las milicias uzbecas del general Rashid Dostum en 2002 en la que asesinaron a miles de personas indefensas que se hab\u00edan rendido previamente a los muyahidines de la Alianza del Norte, el\u00a0Frente Isl\u00e1mico Unido por la Salvaci\u00f3n de Afganist\u00e1n.<\/p>\n

Los mercenarios pertenecen b\u00e1sicamente a las etnias hazara, uzbeka y persa y han sido trasladados desde Afganist\u00e1n a trav\u00e9s de la frontera entre Pakist\u00e1n e Ir\u00e1n, donde en ocasiones han sido detenidos algunos \u00abenv\u00edos\u00bb por inmigraci\u00f3n ilegal. Cuando un medio televisivo trat\u00f3 de grabarlos (visten claramente a la usanza uzbeka), fueron amenazados por los rebeldes para hacerlos desistir de sus intenciones.<\/p>\n

Esta milicia extranjera se suma a los ej\u00e9rcitos \u00e1rabes y europeos que combaten al estado libio bajo el manto de la OTAN. Ayer mismo se supo que tropas gadafistas atacaron e infringieron un duro castigo al ej\u00e9rcito de Emiratos \u00c1rabes Unidos que tambi\u00e9n opera en Tr\u00edpoli. Estar\u00eda bien saber cu\u00e1ntos libios de verdad est\u00e1n luchando contra las tropas leales al gobierno y a qui\u00e9nes representan.
