Irak Coalition Casualties<\/a><\/p>\nCuando se las pintaban felices para los invasores tras el desastroso final del a?o pasado, tres incidentes han vuelto a dar la vuelta a la situaci?n. De un lado, episodios de duros combates en la irreductible provincia de al Anbar y en Kerbala. De otro, el derribo de un helic?ptero y la muerte de sus 13 ocupantes, han pr?cticamente duplicado en un s?lo d?a el total de bajas mensuales del ej?rcito usamericano situ?ndolo en una media normal, es decir, m?s de dos muertes diarias. De paso, convierten al 20 de enero de 2007 en el tercer d?a m?s luctuoso para sus tropas desde el inicio de esta asim?trica guerra.<\/p>\n
Ignoro si en los bajos guarismos de principio de mes ha tenido que ver la celebraci?n del muharram, el mes sagrado en el que se rememora el martirio de Husein, nieto de Mahoma. El Cor?n prohibe matar durante su conmemoraci?n y al menos los shi?es lo parecen respetar, pero con la ofensiva coordinada lanzada para eliminar de la escena a Muqtada al Sadr imagino que est?n sacando brillo a sus armas para el momento en que vuelvan a usarlas… De todas maneras, hoy han llegado a un acuerdo y vuelven a integrarse en el gobierno a cambio de un calendario de retirada de los ej?rcitos invasores. Imagino que para disminuir la presi?n sobre su gente que estaba siendo detenida estos d?as por centenares. Veremos qu? sucede en los pr?ximos d?as.<\/p>\n
