Despu?s de decenas de incursiones sangrientas en la franja de Gaza y la puesta de en marcha de multitud de planes de inteligencia para liberar al soldado Gilad Shalit, el gobierno israel? o, lo que es lo mismo, su ej?rcito, han llegado a la conclusi?n de que las posibilidades de liberar vivo a su artillero mediante el uso de la fuerza son pr?cticamente nulas. No les queda m?s remedio que negociar con los palestinos si quieren cumplir ese precepto jud?o que obliga al rescate de prisioneros o dar la impresi?n a una ya desmoralizada tropa de que las todopoderosas IDF abandonan a su suerte a los soldados en el campo de batalla.<\/p>\n<p>Pero esta vez los palestinos est?n apuntando m?s alto, en las listas de presos de los que pretenden liberar hay dos especialmente significados: Marwan Barghouti, que puede estar llamado a  convertirse en presidente o primer ministro de Palestina por su gran ascendiente popular y Ahmed Sadat, l?der del FPLP. Junto a ellos, otros 1.400 podr?an ser liberados de los aproximadamente 10.000 que se pudren en las c?rceles sionistas, la mayor?a de ellos sin cargos, juicios ni asistencia letrada en los muchos Guant?namos particulares que apenas si merecen atenci?n medi?tica, algunos de ellos exclusivos para ni?os ?terroristas? como la c?rcel de Hasharon.<\/p>\n<p>A pesar de las informaciones que circulan estos d?as en tal sentido, personalmente dudo que Olmert tenga la determinaci?n y el coraje suficiente como para tomar la decisi?n final. Su d?bil gobierno de coalici?n es improbable que asuma la responsabilidad de un acuerdo siempre problem?tico, a pesar de que incluso podr?a sentar las bases para el inicio de conversaciones de paz de largo alcance sobre el texto de la propuesta saud?, como ya ha indicado que est? dispuesto a hacer el l?der de la mortecina Kadima.
